Jesus Christ, what can I do?

I can't keep living without you

your absence eating at my mind

or tell me please, just where to find

some peace and patience, I can't hold on

loving-kindness, that's been long gone

Add justice, truth, pile on the lies

I look in the mirror and despise

Can't you see

what you've done to me?

I waited and I prayed

I tried to keep you with me but just

Look at me,

so what do you see?

I'm waiting for you still to come

and love me.

Just

love me.

Please.
Inspired by something I was talking about with my pastor. I really have issues with Christianity at times, so this is just an outlet for my frustrations.
My intent is not to offend but just to hope others appreciate my writing. If the words "Jesus Christ" offend you, you don't have to read past the first line.

I may be completely off base here, but it seems like you're talking about the abscence of Jesus in your life. If this is true, He will always love you, and you can always find peace with Him. No matter what you do, His love will always be with you. He will never forsake you, even if you've turned your back on Him. I don't if this is what the kind of response you were looking for, or even what you were talking about, but I felt the need to share it with you. :)
